A bit about the role

As an Electrician in our Mill-wide Services team at Stegra Boden, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and packaging machinery. Reporting to the Daytime Manager, you’ll ensure that these critical systems operate efficiently, helping our production run smoothly and safely.
What you’ll do:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in crane control panels and lifting equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Conduct inspections of machinery, transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring to ensure safe operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using technical diagrams, blueprints, and tests.
- Program and configure electrical control systems.
- Train operators in basic maintenance tasks and electrical safety procedures.
- Ensure safety compliance through LOTO procedures and proper use of PPE.
What you’ll bring:
- Vocational electrical qualification with strong maintenance knowledge.
- Workplace safety certification (e.g., ESA or OSHA); crane/welding certificates are a plus.
- Experience from heavy industry such as steel mills, manufacturing, or mining.
- Familiarity with Swedish and EU safety codes and industry standards.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to mentor colleagues.
- Organized, independent, and detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Physical fitness for working at heights and ability to carry tools.
- Good knowledge of English; Swedish is a plus.

About Stegra
