Operator - Crane & Logistics

About Stegra 

Founded in 2020, Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) was created with the purpose to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries. Construction of our first project – an integrated plant producing green hydrogen, green iron, and green steel – is well underway in Boden, Sweden. Slashing emissions using green hydrogen and renewable electricity, we’re starting a clean industrial revolution. Steel is just the beginning.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Safely operate forklifts and cranes according to load charts and lifting plans. 

• Lift, load, unload, store, and transport equipment and materials. 

• Calculate load weights and determine appropriate lifting methods; ensure loads are properly rigged and balanced. 

• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure good working condition. 

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. 

• Take action when failures or deviations occur, report issues, and participate in root cause analysis. 

• Contribute to the development and upkeep of safety practices and a strong safety culture. 

• Assist team members with daily operations and maintain good housekeeping standards. 

Your Experience: 

• Relevant experience in crane operations or logistics. 

• Familiarity with different types of cranes and lifting equipment. 

• Strong understanding of load calculations and rigging techniques. 

• Ability to read and interpret load charts and lift plans. 

• Good command of English; Swedish is a plus. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Ability to work on rotating shifts. 

• Preferred Qualifications: 

• Proven experience as a Crane or Logistics Operator or similar role in construction or heavy industry. 

Preferred certifications:  

• Forklift B, Crane certificate A. 

• Required: Driving license B. 

• Skills in continuous improvement within an industrial environment. 

• Ability to develop work manuals and give presentations related to work.
