We are seeking dedicated refractory installers who want to work in a high-tech, sustainable maintenance and production environment. At Stegra, you will join a modern steel plant where safety, innovation, and quality are top priorities. Take the opportunity to grow and develop with us in a forward-looking industrial setting.

About the Role

At Stegra, we are not just building a plant – we are proving that sustainable industry is possible. And to succeed, we need people like you.

As a member of our refractory team, you will be at the forefront of next-generation steelmaking technology. You will work with the maintenance of the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), monolithic steel ladles, tundishes, and RH vacuum treatment.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that production always has refractory components in optimal condition – safely and fully compliant with quality and environmental standards. You will closely monitor processes, identify deviations, and address them quickly.

This is a technically challenging and responsible position, where your focus will be on maintaining a smooth production flow while upholding the highest safety standards. You will work with advanced systems and precision equipment alongside skilled colleagues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

If you enjoy problem-solving, cutting-edge technology, and contributing to a more sustainable steel industry, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact.

Your Responsibilities

• Install refractory materials in the EAF, steel ladles, tundishes, and RH.

• Conduct inspections and perform repairs as needed (e.g., bricklaying, gunning).

• Troubleshoot issues related to refractory installations.

• Verify, document, and record operational data.

• Actively contribute to a safe work environment by participating in the development and maintenance of process control and safety routines.

• Lead by example in prioritizing safety and support less experienced colleagues to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

• Make decisions and proactively identify solutions.

Your Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in bricklaying, casting, or tiling is an advantage.

• Experience developing work methods or participating in development projects is beneficial.

• Additional certificates (e.g., forklift, crane operator license) are a plus.

• Good knowledge of English; basic Swedish is an advantage.

• Driver’s license (B).

• We place great value on your personality – especially your willingness to learn and how you collaborate with colleagues and leadership.

We Offer

If you are passionate about making a real difference and contributing to a more sustainable future, Stegra offers a unique opportunity to join a committed and ambitious team. Here, you can help shape the future of steel production while developing your career in a company that values inclusion, collaboration, and personal growth. We believe our success begins with our people – and together, we are building a greener tomorrow.

• A permanent position in one of Sweden’s most exciting industrial projects.

• Competitive salary and benefits according to the collective agreement.

• 25 vacation days per year in accordance with Swedish labor law.

• Full relocation support, including assistance with housing, travel arrangements, and compensation.

• Visa sponsorship where applicable.

• Modern, purpose-built facilities in Boden with a focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation.

• A supportive and inclusive work environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and develop.
